Micro agressor with high gain

I have about 19 years experience playing guitar and composition. This compressor is by far the best I've used as I've only been able to achieve the same sound while in a daw. I typically play high gain tones of the soldano slo variety. The micro agressor at the front of the chain adds a load of attack and clarity without squishing the tone more than the gain already does. In other words you preserve the feel of your original tone while breathing new life into it bringing out all the rich harmonic sounds. It also can really balance out the high and low end without totally ruining the dynamics, I do still recommend a 10 band EQ to pair with it. So for those looking for something above an optical compressor, ts808, or OD for high gain this is it. / As for things to potentially check for: make sure your 9v power supply can supply at least 1 amp of current. I noticed some intermittent signal drops through long sessions while using a 0.5 amp (500ma) psu. Note: I haven't had a chance to fully test this but I was so pleased with it had to write a review before I forgot.

micro aggressor

2 stars deduction for:

1. not the sustain i looked for. (but to be fair, i'll have to play a bit more with it) i spend some hours with it and if i'm not finding "my" settings on a ratjer simple effect/pedal, its a bit disappointing.

2. the visual indication if the pedal is on or off. the light is just to soft. cool idea with the with and purple but if its not functional... in a room with normal daylight its just not visible.

I've been playing guitar for about a year, and listened to Tosin/AAL for over a decade. So getting an Abasi pedal was pretty much guaranteed for me.. Was originally going to get Pathos as my first one but couldn't resist the Aggressor after the YouTube playthrough drop with Tosin and Ivan. A lot I'm learning as I go but I can't recommend this enough. Makes my Jackson 7 string & Orange 35 shift between blissful and blistering. Pathos next once I have the funds

I just started getting familiar with this pedal. All in all, I really don’t know what to call it either a compressor, a boost, both, who the hell knows. It is a really cool clever design, I will say. I was able to dial back the gain on my regular amp model and get some pretty clear high gain tones from this pedal. It shines the greatest on a clean setting of course but you can use it for just about everything. BUY IT! It’s like the OD and compressor you’ll never have separate

Loving the vibes

The pedal comes with an extremely straight-forward explanation of all the knobs.
It easily delivers that lovely percussive sound and a boost to any distortion you may dial, as well as a sparkly and more resonant feeling.
Don't want to turn it off.
