Perfection

Been trying to get one for awhile and finally did. I have to say this guitar is crazy good for the money and should be priced higher. Cant find anything to complain about at all. Neck is flat and easy to play. Frets are done flawlessly and the guitar is light as hell. Slight neck dive but I play high so its pretty much unnoticed. Comes with a killer case and Fishman are perfect for an 8 string. Had the intention to try it out and sell it to fund a Master or J but I think ill just keep it and get one of those too. Only gripe is I really wanted a sage but they didn't pop up. The Charcoal Burl is freaking gorgeous and looks killer. String spacing is nice to play feels like a 6 string. I love it, end of story. BUY ONE, or TWO or THREE or MORE...

Large collector, absolutely blown away

I am an 8 string player and I have been playing 16 years. I have a large collections of 8 string guitars from Strandberg, Legator, ESP, Halo and Cort. I was able to pick this up during the last drop and I must say it is one of if not thee best guitar I have ever held. The pickups just to start offer so much versatility. Its easy to go from jazz straight into the most djent metal and then into some thrash and then into some soul. Literally if you can imagine it this guitar will make it possible. The playability is beyond excellent, truly. This is one of the few guitars that really is great for shredding, sweeping, slapping/thumping/pop, classical finer styling, selective picking, tapping. literally anything. I love my other guitars but most of them seem to specialize in one area or several where as this thing truly does it all. I am also amazed that this thing really doesn't go out of tune. The tuning stability is comparable to evertune but better because it allows for any gauge string desired. My only very very small complaint would be the strings. As an 8 string player, I feel thinker strings on the bass end are necessary. (I tune EBEADGBE). I truly want to thank this company for being making something that goes above and beyond expectations. These guitars are hard to get but more than worth it. Also worth noting, I am a big advocate of fret wraps and this is the first non headless guitar that I feel sounds better without one, if that matters to any of you.

Fantastic First Impressions

Wow. That’s all I can say. I was looking to try my first 8 string, and the Legion series just happened to drop when I was looking around, so I jumped on the chance to get one. Most of all I was hyped to try the Abasi pickups, which I had my eyes on for a while due to their split coil options.

This guitar delivers in every way, shape, and form right out of the box. Setup is super nice, not a ton of fret buzz on the low strings, and these pickups are absolutely the gem of this instrument. The splits are immediately as glassy as I was hoping, and there’s little to no noise at all. The distortion tones are extremely clean, as well. I can hear the whole chord the whole time I’m playing.

The comfortability is unreal. I’m still getting used to the single cut design as far as my thumb’s concerned, but the guitar sits so close to me I have no problem playing high or low.

Overall, Tosin and his team knocked it out of the park with these. Get yourself one.

Absolutely fantastic

I'm a little shocked by how great this guitar feels sounds and looks right out of the gate. I have been playing for 16 years and have played, what I would consider, a wide variety of guitars. I have in the past 4 years only bought customs. Well, I was hesitant to not buy a custom spec'd instrument, but this guitar ended up meeting(possibly exceeding) my favorite custom. This guitar is really light tight and responsive. The eq of the pickups is PERFECT or at least the most desirable starting point I've encountered. The attention to detail is as good as I would expect of a guitar costing a minimum of $500 more dollars. Playing leads is so easy on this thing and of course the thump tone is actually the best. I'm happy to be an Abasi owner finally after watching from the very beginning, sometimes day after day, to see if we could actually get them. I was inspired by Petrucci until 2009 when I saw Tosin live and I knew I was going to go home and shed. I saw something I necer knew was possible. Now I can play the approved official product of the master himself. Very excited and very happy with the instrument.
