LARADA 8 // Master Series // Champagne Supernova

This Larada USA Master Series guitar features a unique "Champagne Supernova" finish - a champagne base with gold flakes reflecting an Oasis of light. This nitro cellulose finish features checking lines, as well as some light relic'ing to complement the age cracks. It sports an okume body, roasted maple neck and a richlite fingerboard. Each piece of wood is hand-selected, with great attention paid to quality and weight.

The Gold Sparkle finish is truly striking. Pictures don't do it justice!

Almost perfect

I love this guitar! The only thing is that I have to also say "it's growing on me". There are 3 things that make me feel that way:

1. There was a bunch of sticky residue all over the fretboard. Maybe fret polish, maybe fingerboard polish, who knows. It definitely has inhibited the playability of the guitar a lot and I've still not gotten all of it off.

2. The relic is a cool idea. I'm definitely into it. The only thing I wish is that there was the foresight to realize it might not be a good idea to rough up the edge where your picking arm rests on the guitar.

3. This one may be more of a personal choice, but if the neck was satin it would make this guitar really really great. The way it's finished also inhibits the playability because it gets sticky.

Anyways, pretty minor gripes for the most part. It's a stunning guitar and I'm sure the playability will get there once I get the residue off completely and potentially have the neck sanded.

That being said, I also own a TAM100 and this thing plays much more comfortably than that, so I'm very pleased overall. Worth the purchase.
