Spalted maple comes to the ēmi 7 for the first time.
ēmi™ is the sibling to the Larada, carrying forward the same elegant design language and ergonomic focus that define Abasi Concepts. Where the Larada offers a refined single-cut silhouette, ēmi provides a double-cut alternative - retaining the balance and comfort of its counterpart while appealing to players who prefer a different form. Its asymmetrical OVIFORM+–™ neck profile, with its subtle teardrop shape, remains a defining feature of both instruments.
Where our extended-range instruments usually go multi-scale, the ēmi 7 keeps a uniform 25.5" scale with a Gotoh 510 floating tremolo.
This Custom features a spalted maple top under a translucent Blackburst finish, with natural top binding, white fingerboard binding, and an open-pore satin back and sides. Spalting forms naturally in the wood over time, drawing dark, ink-like lines through the maple - no two spalted tops are alike, making each instrument a true one-of-one.
*** Each piece of wood is unique and will have varying grain patterns, color, and frequency. The photos listed are one representation of the particular wood species offered on this guitar and will vary with each instrument.
