This is by far the most beautiful and inspirational guitar I have ever owned- the Mc Laren of guitars indeed… The attention to details is second to none and the precision and feel of this instrument is exceptional. It is more than worth its price and the whole experience from the purchase of the guitar to actually receiving it and playing it was like a dream.
Thank you to Tosin and your team for bringing magic into our musical experience. Words cannot describe it.
I have played a lot of high-end guitars thanks to a wonderful music store near me. From 20k+ PRS private stock, to Suhr, Mayones, Gibson, Jackson and Fender USA. This guitar is special and takes the cake for me personally.
Starting with the looks, this guitar is gorgeous. Came in perfect condition, as is to be expected. I love the dual finish with gloss sides and satin front. My previous guitar was a suhr modern satin, and the satin finish by the humbuckers began wearing through after a short while. I don't say that as a diss to Suhr at all, but it is a reality of getting a satin finish guitar. However, this guitar does not seem like it will go through the same issues. The only thing that could make this better might be a nitro finish to relic as I own it, but that is a matter of taste.
As for feel, this guitar is superior to most other guitars I've played. I have tried a few multiscale instruments but never got on with them, so even getting this was a risk. There was nothing wrong with the instruments themselves, they just felt clumsy. I did not have the same learning curve with this guitar. From the first time picking it up, this guitar felt perfect in my hands. I have played 7 strings for a while, so I was a bit nervous as to whether I would enjoy 8 strings as much. If you are a player who has only played 6 strings or 7 strings and have the same worry, don't. There is an adjustment period to learning the low b and e strings, but it does not get in the way of playing once you are used to it.
The sound is incredible as well. The cleans are gorgeous and it handles high gain like a champ. The dual voicings on the humbucker are both a lot of fun! The active pickups are well-suited for chords and ultra-clean ambient sounds.
As far as critiques, there are a few. The guitar does not have rock solid tuning-stability for me. It will not drift out of tuning within a playing session of a few hours. However, overnight it consistently goes noticeably flat. I have had better tuning stability with previous guitars (Suhr with floating tremolo, Jackson fixed bridge). However, my area is changing seasons quite drastically, and my apartment is not the best climate-controlled, so that is a likely culprit. Additional little niggles would be I would appreciate a bit of an explainer-type brochure to explain the voicings on the HSS pickup set because I believe only positions 1 and 2 are affected by the push-pull voicings. However, these are such minor gripes that are easily addressed that it doesn't warrant taking away a star.
Incredible guitar, and I hope Abasi expands their production line in the future, because I would love to get my hands on a few more of their wonderful guitars!
honestly this guitar was worth every penny. there’s such a vast number of sounds that can be achieved through it, it has beautiful dexterity across the whole neck, the body allows itself to be played perfectly, it’s truly a beautiful instrument.
I’m a big fan of these guitars. They are composed of great materials, skilled craftsmanship, and they play like a dream. I own about 25 guitars and my 2 Space T’s, Master 8, Emi 8, and now this Emi 7 are among my favorites. Amazing playability and ergonomics. Diverse and fun to play through. Definitely “go to” guitars for whatever style. The ultimate artist conduits! - Paul
PS - I got a B Stock and it was flawless in my opinion. Great Deal!
I received a case with my Larada, and it seemed to have been damaged during shipping. It did not close right, so I provided that feedback to the team. They promptly followed up and worked out a way to send me a new case. Really great experience! I appreciate the level of engagement Marshall & team brought.
Was lucky enough to get my hands on one of these. Came in pretty cold weather, but the setup was near perfect and barely needed to retune the guitar. The string tension with the 9.5-74 set is great without the low strings having any buzz or feeling noodly in any way. This thing is a blast to play. My other 7, for comparison, is a Schecter KM7 and this thing feels like a major upgrade (and I very much like that guitar). I use the trem quite a bit and the stability is outstanding without the need to tweak the tuning very often. The carbon fiber top is quite an amazing thing to see in person. Nothing I've seen in videos really highlights the chatoyance and the almost holographic way the thing reflects light from different perspectives. One little thing: it is a fingerprint magnet, but I microfiber it after extended play time. The black limba adds a little extra weight to the body relative to my Emi 6's body which I estimate is maybe about 1.5-2 lbs lighter, but it is still incredibly comfortable to play in classical position and when I'm standing. I will also say I much prefer the sound of Tosin's humbuckers over Fishman single coils (but both still sound amazing) and the voicings capture quite an array of different sounds (I play a lot of metal and blues). Guitars are the only luxury item I am willing to pay premium for and this to me was worth the cost. Used shop to snag this quickly, hopefully people who want these to actually play them can grab the future drops too instead of those price-gouging reverb scalpers. Thank you Tosin and everyone at Abasi Concepts!
PLEASE MAKE MORE LEFTY GUITARS
Having the option to own such a unique, iconic, and beautiful sounding guitar is a game changer in the realm of music creation. The design ideas implemented in this guitar set it in a separate category than nearly any other instrument. The Fishman pickups sound fantastic and present a usable range of overwound passive to active metal to strat and tele tones makes it very versatile. The body cuts, the set neck pocket, and gloss/matte paint job clearly display the improved quality control that plagued earlier Abasi guitars. The design of the cutaway is beautiful. I personally feel that the neck is a "melt away" shape. You do not notice the neck in any way, and with a proper strap height results in little adjustment time to the broad 8 string fretboard.
Unfortunately there were some issues when I received the guitar, but the Abasi Support team did a fantastic job of addressing. The case was not aligned perfectly, so they sent me a new case a replacement. There were some string fit issues I needed to manage via modification - .74 gauge strings are not tiny! Abasi sent me some extra string to tide me over until fixed.
Everyone may have different value statements when they purchase instruments of this caliber (artisan, top of the line), but my ask is customer service in combination with specific design decisions that present a more meaningful experience to the player and originality. Abasi Concepts and their Larada passes with flying colors in these categories. The paint job and style are impeccable. Will this be my only Abasi? Hope not!
I was fortunate enough to be able to grab the Larada 6 Mystic Dream when it first released. I find myself in the incredibly lucky position to be holding this Emi7, specifically with the Carbon Quilt top.
It exceeds all expectations, craftmanship is top-notch, equivalent to some of the best in the business. It might just be the most comfortable guitar I have ever played, even better than most 6 strings. The Emi has been thought out so well and deserves the recognition it has been getting.
This is definitely special and I don't think I'm ever going to be able to part with this one easily.
LARADA 8 // Master Series // Mint
After years of admiring all things Abasi Concepts, I was finally able to get this guitar in my hands. I have many quality guitars in my collection, but there is definitely nothing like this Larada 6 Master Series. This guitar is breathtakingly beautiful, the tone is versatile and the build is flawless. I wanted some time to pass before writing a review, so I can really get to know this spectacular instrument.
I'll start from the top to the bottom:
1. I love the Hipshot products. I have their tuners on many of my guitars, so I was of course happy with my barrel knob tuners.
2. The neck is beyond comfortable. After an easy set-up with my 9-42, it felt like home. The action was lowered with ease and it plays like a dream.
3. The body extending to the 12th fret was the big question! Not being able to move your thumb up the neck and forcing your hand position was something I was looking forward to. It really makes me think about the guitar in a different way. That challenge is exciting and motivational.
4. The pickups sound incredible with my rig. The basics are a Fryette power amp, Custom Audio Amplifier 3+ and a Fractal Axe-FX. Whether in my rig or straight into a combo, the pickups have their own personality and can handle any genre. The most surprising burst of sound came from the clean tones. They sparkled without sounding brash. Sometimes clean tones end up sounding brittle when you're trying to cut through. These pickups are a game changer.
5. I especially appreciate not having a tone knob. I never use them. I do use the push/pull all the time and am thankful that was part of this build.
6. I'm a Floyd guy and always wanted the earlier Abasi guitars with the baby Floyds, but I am very pleased with the Gotoh trem. It handles all the guitar hero dive bombs and meshes perfectly with the aesthetic of the guitar.
7. I love having the jack on the back of the guitar. Why do we need to see the end of a cable?
I will be using this guitar to finish the final four songs on my upcoming album, "A Cruel Void" with my band SHAD (Extreme's Kevin Figueiredo on drums). The album is being produced by Bob St. John (Extreme, Collective Soul, Duran Duran). He is also impressed with the Larada. You can check out our music at: www.linktree.com/SHADband
I know there will be another Abasi in my future. Maybe an ēmi with a Floyd and a sustainer system! ;o)
Thanks to Tosin and all at Abasi Concepts for an inspiring, intelligent & innovative instrument!

Fantastic guitar
Really amazing pedal, perfect as main overdrive. Thanks for your great work!
I am not sure where to start, between the pickups or the way the guitar just sits on you, or is it doesn't feel like 7 strings. It's going to be really hard to share with my other guitars..and I got a few what I thought were amazing before this guy.....I gotta wait a few years until I can get another 🔥🍏🤘 thank you
I've been playing guitar for almost 25 years and this, out of all the electric guitars I own, is the most well crafted with the greatest attention to detail. The contouring is exceptional with the gloss finish which allows the guitar to slide against your body when held and is equally comfortable standing or sitting. The satin front helps anchor your hand. The bottom contour makes playing in classical position incredibly ergonomic. The finish is flawless. Hipshot locking tuners are great and the bridge is very user friendly and will likely make string changes a breeze compared to other locking systems. The pickups are fantastic, clean, and crisp. Pretty much as flawless guitar. Long time fan of Animals for Leaders and very much appreciate the attention to detail that went into crafting these things. My first guitar growing up was a strat, but this is like the ultimate iteration of the model. Had some issues with UPS just dropping this at my place without even ringing the bell, but that is on them for not following protocol (make sure someone is home if you have one of these delivered and checking repeatedly). The case is very well crafted and the guitar was packaged very well for shipping. Fantastic guitar, definitely looking into buying an extended range Larada or Emi if they don't sell out too fast. This won't be showing up on Reverb for resale and no, I am not a bot.
