ĒMI 7 // MASTER SERIES // BLACK BEAUTY

ēmi™ is the sibling to the Larada, carrying forward the same elegant design language and ergonomic focus that define Abasi Concepts. Where the Larada offers a refined single-cut silhouette, ēmi provides a double-cut alternative - retaining the balance and comfort of its counterpart while appealing to players who prefer a different form. Its asymmetrical OVIFORM+–™ neck profile, with its subtle teardrop shape, remains a defining feature of both instruments.

While our extended range instruments often employ multi-scale designs with individual string bridges, the ēmi7 brings a uniform scale length paired with a Gotoh 510 floating tremolo. Premium components include Fishman Fluence Tosin Abasi humbuckers with a dedicated tone control, a GraphTech nut, Hipshot tuners, and Jescar stainless steel frets - all strung with custom Abasi x Ernie Ball Music Man progressive tension strings.

As with every Abasi Concepts instrument, each piece of wood is carefully hand-selected to ensure optimal weight, resonance, and tonal character - making ēmi not just an alternative to the Larada, but a true companion within the same family.

Poor quality and disappointing

I got this guitar a few hours ago and as soon as I took it out of the box I noticed some serious flaws. The fretboard has several scratches and toolmarks especially near the higher frets. The fretboard edge on the bass side is poorly finished and very rough. The trussrod cavity was not properly sanded. There are two very noticeable imperfections in the transition between the glossy and satin finishes: one on the cutout of the lower horn, the other at the bottom of the guitar. Especially at the bottom, you can clearly see a white line where the finish transition is not properly done.

It's not acceptable for such an expensive instrument to have these manufacturing flaws. I can't understand how this guitar has even passed quality control since these issues are immediately visible. It's a shame, especially considering that the guitar is stunning to look at and feels very good to play.

I contacted Customer Service a few minutes after unboxing the guitar detailing these issues and provided some pictures. I have not received a reply yet, but I hope to hear back from them soon with some options to resolve this.
