Gift of Tosin for sure!!

Just got this beauty four days ago and have it paired with the "Gift of Tosin" downloads on my Fractal. This guitar is a monster of tones. Both sounds and playability are absolutely outstanding!! I have some great guitars and this one stands apart from the rest and offers endless musical opportunity for any serious player that gets to play this well crafted instrument.
Can't wait to see AAL in Cincinnati in November !

Beyond my expectations

While I had heard amazing things about the emi & larada series I was a bit hesitant before taking the plunge. That's why I elected to go for the legion model, as spending a bit less money to try it out was more reasonable. The Legion Emi 7 is my first 7 string guitar. I didn't buy it to play Animals as Leaders riffs or songs, though I do like them. I bought it because I wanted to try a 7 string because I missed the deep bass sound of a Veena, an Indian classical instrument. While I can cover some of the sonic territory of my sitar with my guitars, I've been listening to records of the Dagar family veena players and enjoying some of those deeper bass notes in the alaap. The amazing thing is that the emi 7, with its ergonomic cut can sit very much like a sitar for me, and yet still has that deep range I was craving. Haven't figured out if I want to tune the 7th string to B or A yet, but overall the instrument has surpassed my expectations. The quality, fit and finish are great. The neck feels comfortable in my hand. I can swap between a normal rock guitar position or a classical - sitar like position. And it has the sonic range I was looking for. I might have to sell my other guitars and buy a master series 6 string as well!
